Spotted an imposter today

I have always leaned towards "de-badging" and hate it when people try to up-jump their cars into something they are not (like slapping Cobra badges on a GT) but for some reason it doesn't really bug me much at all on jeeps. I don't see a Rubi as special or exclusive other than it's axles and transfer case which many people swap anyways. Somebody caring enough to fake it is kinda weak, but it doesn't upset me too much. Maybe if Jeep would have spent a little extra attention on a special interior or something, I dunno. V8 option? Okay, now I'm just fantasizing

I think Rural carriers are required to purchase their own vehicle, and they get money in addition to their pay to purchase.

Not a TJ story but there's a rural carrier in the town that my Brother lives that has a RHD XJ. It's looks like it has a 3" lift with 33's and Bushwacker flares ... so an enthusiast, or so I thought. I'd seen it off and on for the last 4 years or so. By total coincidence we pulled into a commercial parking lot at the same time. I was in my XJ. There's no doubt that we saw each other. From about 10' away I said "nice XJ". He didn't even acknowledge my existence. I guess I should have said nice mail bag or something.

it’s funny the pains people go to to replicate specialty models...SS cars, Hemis, Saleens...nothing is sacred.
I think it stems from wanting it so bad they are willing to fake it. Human beings do an immense amount of crazy things simply to impress people.

I don’t remember who told me. But he saw someone on a JK forum asking how the lockers on his rubicon work and kept asking about the wheel. After some confusing discussion, the people trying to help discover that the gentleman thought the lockers locked the steering as an anti theft device

When I visit The states and hop in a hire vehicle I have to keep reminding myself 'Passenger to the kerb side passenger to the kerb side" If I drove a RHD vehicle in US I would be dead as soon as I left the parking lot.
In Australia postal workers use Honda CT110,s and ride up to the mail boxes, getting in and out of a jeep to do deliveries must be a pain in the ass even with RHD!

In Australia postal workers use Honda CT110,s and ride up to the mail boxes, getting in and out of a jeep to do deliveries must be a pain in the ass even with RHD!

I daily drove both RHD and LHD cars in Japan where they drive on the wrong side of the road just like you guys Remembering to drive on the correct side of the road was pretty easy after only a couple of days for me despite swapping back and forth between cars. Remembering which side to go to get in and getting the turn signal/wipers backwards was something that got me getting time to time. Everybody always notices the wipers going on a sunny day and gave them a wide birth. I also went to the wrong side to get in sometimes and would play it off like I meant to do it to get something from the glove box

When on vacation in Ireland we rented a car for a 10 day drive tour.
The first day was a killer, after that I only ran off the road one time.

Without fail going to get in the wrong side every time lol turns at a railway crossings are a bit of a panic and sometimes pulling out of parking lots you get the quick conflict with what your experience is telling you to do, we have always had left and right wiper /blinkers depending on make, I think I would find it difficult at first to change gears in a manual with my right hand
