Anyone running 10.5 wide tires ? Any negatives to a narrower tire ? Seriously thinking about going from 12.5 to 10.5 but I have never even seen a TJ set up like this.

Go for it, probably won’t be much different. The 10.5 is probably a lighter tire too, which can make a difference in acceleration and handling due to lower rolling mass. I’ve thought about dropping to a 33x10.5, but will probably stick with a 33x12.5.
Was that a typo? I don't know what looks worse. 22" tires or wheels on a TJ.......BOTH!

My offroad with my Jeep are primarily during hunting season and I have about 4 miles of dirt road to traverse. When it rains my 35 x 12.5 x 15 MT3's tend to slide alot on a wet packed dirt road. They do fine in the mud holes or ruts but on the flat wet road they dont have very good traction. Consensus in this part of the world from non-Jeep people is narrower tires provide better traction in the mud and gravel roads etc.. I want to stay with 15" wheels. Not sure if I would need to change the wheels to different back spacing.
The 10.5 will be better on the street, the 12.5 will be better for wheeling. If you don't go wheeling, go for the 10.5 if you like *THAT* look.
I can't decide. If I'm going to run trails like that one, I need to, but there are not many trails like that around here. I decided to wait a few weeks and get past that event so my mind is clear to make a good decision. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to GR HiLine, but I need to make a good decision.

I'm on my second set of BFG 33x10.5x15s. I think they work great. Better traction on ice, easier on the road and do fine on the trails I run, mostly forest service rutted out roads and desert rocks. I'm building a second LJ for my daughter right now and might go with a metric sized tire but still want to keep it close to 11" wide....
Sounds like 35's with a GenRight highline is a GREAT decision to me!
My avatar shows my almost 32" tires that are about 9-1/2" wide. I think they look fine and even off road they are doing great. The thinner they are, the more lbs per sq in they force onto whatever they are sitting on. In my experience, they dig into mud or snow and grab. It also helps on the pavement.

I have 33x10.50's, Mainly because I am running a 4 banger and wanted to not be a complete slug on the street. 5.13's helped substantially, but I also like the look.
I ran 33x10.5 KO2s on my last LJ. I had 1.25" spacers and Rubicon flares. Really liked the setup, and would've gone that route again if I hadn't wanted to go JK/JL take-offs on this one.
I think it would be beautiful, and very cool. For about $1500 I could get it done. Need to find a new air box and sort out the under hood details. I'd need chromoly front shafts, but that's about all. Later I'm sure I'd want some of those upper spring perch's that Kishpaugh designed to get up to 14" of travel. Haha. Another rabbit hole...
