If only you knew the long list of crap I’m trying to get done before the 22nd
Don’t forget you need a pass for elephant hill and last time I was there it was only 3 jeeps allowed every 30 minutes.I’m going to do fins and hells on Saturday with team co , after that I’m taking it easy for the rest except I would like to do elephant hill. You can count me in be more than happy to get out and spot for anyone, that being said my disclaimer is I’m not a pro but I’m not stupid either.lol

It’s a great trail and hike the joint while there. Thanks I know I read that somewhere but there’s so much info going into my head I have a senior moment all to often. i saw on someones list they were going to do it so I’m hoping to tag along.
If I don't get it fixed, I'll put the winch back on.Ahhh. Yes, that could come in handy.
I’m hoping to get to elephant hill. permits are needed and are only available 24 hours in advance I believe. Anyone been there to confirm that? Hot ticket maybeThanks I know I read that somewhere but there’s so much info going into my head I have a senior moment all to often. i saw on someones list they were going to do it so I’m hoping to tag along.
That’s correct for day use, you can do overnight much further out (and it was great if you have the time).I’m hoping to get to elephant hill. permits are needed and are only available 24 hours in advance I believe. Anyone been there to confirm that? Hot ticket maybe
That sounds awesome. Is the permit the same process as the day use? That’s correct for day use, you can do overnight much further out (and it was great if you have the time).
I can’t check it on my phone so I can’t confirm - but I believe so, you just go through recreation.govThat sounds awesome. Is the permit the same process as the day use?
You can reserve your spot for the trail online within 24/hrs then pay the entrance fee at the gate. It’s definitely worth the trip, gorgeous area, but make sure you have plenty of fuel range or extra fuel. It’s something like 70 miles from the Moab gas station so you’re looking at 140 miles plus whatever crawling and trails you do.You can reserve your spot for the trail online within 24/hrs then pay the entrance fee at the gate. I pulled my console today to start cutting. Front end is torn apart only one seat in. I hope it still runs when I’m done.Wanna race?

I took an economics class once, one concept that stuck with me is that people often only act at the margin. Here we are.
There is an “outpost” just before the park entrance, but you’ll be paying a good premium for the gas there. Even if you don’t fill up it’s worth the stop since the pumps are original from the 60s!It’s definitely worth the trip, gorgeous area, but make sure you have plenty of fuel range or extra fuel. I didn’t know that. I throw my Jerry can mount on the back for those trips. There is an “outpost” just before the park entrance, but you’ll be paying a good premium for the gas there. Even if you don’t fill up it’s worth the stop since the pumps are original from the 60s!
