Picking up where I left off

At the second little hill climb we did, I almost rolled a TJ on 35's and short arms about 1/3 the way up where the first little small ledge is (you didn't even notice it). We were driving up it like in yours, back started spinning out and moving over to the low side, pushed in the clutch and grabbed 4 high, still was sliding over, had to get it into 4 low and lock it to pull out of it. Yours didn't even spin a tire.
You’re right, I didn’t even notice that. I expected to, but it was almost as if it wasn’t even there.

That hill is a bit deceptive. It looks steep and then the rig starts going up with no problem in 2wd at street pressure and you think it isn't really that steep. Then you start paying more attention and realize there are places where all you can see is sky.

I also saw several places where if you took the wrong line, you might actually manage to roll it right down the hill.

I guess that's pretty neat that you have a proving ground of sorts right up the road.

12” shocks in 11” housings basically. Same thing @jjvw did with his in terms of machining the body to fit in a smaller package.
Sort of. You can't fit a 12 in an 11" housing. The reason we can shorten the 12's is that is the length they start putting a spacer inside of under the piston so the shaft can't tip over sideways. All that is done is the spacer is removed and then the body and shaft are shortened by the length of the spacer.

We should of sneak attacked and taken him to Big Bear to run John Bull or dishpan.

Anyone up for a Big Bear weekend before summer?? I might be able to sneak out during the week.

Nicely done rear exhaust hanger (this thing doesn't rattle at all, you can't even move it):

The exhaust underneath was completely redone:

What shocks are you running?

Fancy.

Are those considered an upgrade over the ones people typically use, or just provide a knob for us to screw up the tune?
They allow a level of adjustability and fine tuning of the shocks for low speed compression. At Blaine’s I played around with them on the firmest and softest settings. It is definitely noticeable and IMHO a worthwhile addition.
