Wondering where you got the transfer case shifter knob? is a lever change required? My son loves the look of the hurst lever and white knob in our mustang, so if we could get them for the jeep, I think he would love it.

They have them in universal and threaded. The transfer case shift lever once removed needs to be straightened and then a die run on it.

JB Conversions HD NP231 TC with the thick chain and better planetaries. Geared properly, the 272:1 tc works better for sand/snow/slop.

What company is out there that offers gearing for the 231? I've heard of the Terralow but also heard that it is not much of an upgrade.

I know of nobody offering anything to change the gearing in a 231. The Terralow had issues, so I don't think it's available anymore.

Yeah, I shopped around through the Warn, Rugged Ridge, et al and noted the 1/4" vs 3/16". I'm sure both are sufficient, My Warn for the Dana 35 that Craig is getting is 3/16 and it held up well on my Dana 35 with some abuse. But 30 minutes work on it restored it to this condition....It's since been given a few more coats and smoothed out.

You don't need to be doing any work to that cover.....you have other things to get ready for Moab.....but thank you! It looks great!
