Race them back to back. I’ll be surprised if the Walmart bike can complete a 30 mile enduro race. YouTube windrock bike park. It’s known for its downhill stuff. I’ve raced several of the enduro World Series there and will argue it’s the “king of the hammers” for mountain biking.
ive seen the bike trails at wind rock, you guys are crazy!

Oh yeah, that video is for clicks. IIRC, the Walmart bike is basically falling apart before the end of a single run.
Most all the cycling YouTubers are all buddies. For sometime, awhile back all the guys did Walmart bike videos, just for shits and giggles. I think there’s a video of one at whistler bike park that Seth did. That maybe the video you posted.

A fully loaded Trek mountain bike can cost 12k, no kidding. That is of course more than anyone needs, but yep, the good ones aren’t cheap by any means. My Ripmo was $8500, which is insane, but it’s a hell of a nice bike.
Good taste in MTB! I also have a Ripmo!

Version 1 or version 2? I went with version 1 since it was discounted and version 2 is backordered until at least September.

I have version one since I bought mine two years ago when they first came out.

Very cool, mine is blue!

I talked to a guy who rode both of them extensively (version 1 and 2), and he said he actually prefers version 1. He said that while version 2 is nice, it is by no means such a huge improvement that it's worth upgrading to.

He had mentioned he likes the feel and ride of his V1 more.

I was going to get blue but it was on back order lol.
I was so impressed when I demoed the bike I told them to order and build it ASAP!
Needless to say I’m very happy with the uphill and downhill performance of this bike.
As a rider it took me to another level.
How do you like your Ripmo?

Too soon to say. I picked it up a week ago and the weather has been so rainy and nasty I haven’t had a chance to actually take it out and open it up. I can’t wait to though, especially with our move to Arizona coming up.

In the meantime I am going to install this InvisiFrame on it!

Did Ibis give you a little mud flap that goes over the rear linkage to keep the mud and little rocks out? If not ask for it. I had to ask for mine, but they gave it to me.

No, but now I am going to ask for it. That seems like a good idea. I do have a front and rear fender for it. Plastic ones, but really nice ones that aren’t annoyingly obvious like others I’ve seen.

Cool. You probably won’t need those fenders in Arizona

Fun fact, this TJ was bought almost entirely using Bitcoin profits.

Also, after much debate, it will be receiving a Savvy mid-arm and the whole nine yards. Who was I kidding, right? Of course this time I’ll make sure it’s done 100% right.

Thank god I was worried you wouldn’t be wheeling with us 😝🤣
