Anyone into knives?

IIRC, bench made owns the US market share!

You don't get there by accident.

Congrats!

If mine gets gummed up I send it in for the sharpening and it always comes back like a new knife.

Exactly, the only other knife company that comes close is Leatherman. I sent in an original Wave for service and they said it was too old. If it had sentimental value they would return it, or since it didn’t, they sent me a brand new one.

Where did you get it? Was it recently?

I had one just like this. Griptillian. Was my favorite knife. Handed it to someone to open a bag and never got it back. He set it down on the trailer and we drove off. Wasn’t there when I realized I no longer had it in my pocket. Pissed off to say the least.

I got it last week, I’ve bought a number of knives off http://reddit.com/r/knife_swap it’s heavily moderated and there is a great buyer/seller feedback system, never had an issue.

Chris Reeve Knives, or CRK as they're known, 100% US sourced materials and made in Idaho.

Brief history on Chris Reeve - originally from South Africa, invented the frame lock and was integral in the design of s35vn and s45vn blade steel produced by Crucible Industries, the pioneer in powder metallurgy.

One of my EDC knives is an Inkosi. Inkosi means Chief in Zulu and was introduced in 2016 as the successor to the Sebenza 25.

Some of the improvements - large hollow grind, better stop pin, oversized bronze bushings, reposition clip, double thumb lugs and s35 blade steel, on the earlier ones.

Scales are 6AL4V Ti, blue thumb lugs and s45 blade steel. I enjoy tying knots, therefore I changed the lanyard. I used the traditional CRK Snake knot, added a bead with tritium, easy to see in the dark and terminated the lanyard with a diamond knot.

If you do not want to wait they have some blems on Amazon that ship immediately. That is what I did and the only thing on mine I could call a blem is the lockup it barely over 50%.

This is all your fault 😃

Got the Tirant in July. And the Avair showed up last week.

The Avair is absolutely beautiful. Deceivingly light and stellar fit and finish.

Part of my appreciation of it is that I used to do a lot of unique cnc fixturing for R&D and prototype things, and eventually manufacturing. Would love to see the whole process.

I do like the machining aspect of these blades for sure. Just to give you an idea how much I carry the Tirant.

This has become my primary work carry blade.
