I’m only a few minutes away. Packed up with my cooler, lunch, and gear. Do have to grab some gas tomorrow before we head out. Forgot to fill up before I parked at the hotel in Golden tonight.

We'll have to get gas somewhere close to the trailhead.
I don’t have enough to get to the trail. I’ll grab some at the gas station in the morning and refill out near the trail. Shouldn’t be too much of a hassle.
Looking forward to Holy Cross, mosquito, and red cone! Been a while since I’ve had the Jeep out on real rocks.
If someone were to dump chocolate on the passenger floor, you could eat it now.

The Denver caravan will stop in Leadville for gas. Then it's another 45 minutes to the trailhead.

Are gas stations around here 24/7? Will the pump be open at the Kum and Go tomorrow morning? No way I can make it to Leadville on my current tank.
I'll be able to drop my doors in my hotel room as well. I actually was forced to move hotels today since the one I booked in July required a 21 year old minimum age to check in. They kicked me right out

Sounds good. I've been in towns where the pumps close for the night until 7:30 for some odd reason. No idea why. Just want to make sure I can fill up in the morning.

Red Cone, Radical Hill, Saints John is a good loop that connects 285 up to 70.

Overall a good day. A broken valve stem, a broken fan shroud, angry sparrows, and one guy who was not a part of our group who broke an axle shaft ujoint. We'll see if I ever get my spare shaft back...

We passed the u joint guy again on our way into Leadville. I waved, he didn't.
I didn’t notice that...
Just got back to my hotel. Put the roof and doors on and parked it in a well lit area to thwart any potential crackhead invaders.
