Bump stops are meant to be a hard limit to up travel. They really should be a rigid material. If you want a cushion to slow down that impact, then that is what the jounces are for.
For me, just to be safe I need just 1/8th or 1/4th more bump for my fronts.
At work we have these paddles to dehair hogs, after they break we replace and I’ve used them for a few things on the Jeep
You have never been hit by a hockey puck. They are very tough.Too soft. The rubber is squishy. Same reason I wouldn't care for hockey pucks, just moreso.
Me getting hit with a slap shot is not the same as a 4500lb vehicle crashing an open ended 2" pipe into a hockey puck. One will leave a nasty bruise, whereas the other has the potential to be a high speed, high force cookie cutter. You have never been hit by a hockey puck. They are very tough.
A stack of fender washers should work. How bout just stack some extra thick fender washers to the desired height?

Hockey pucks work well enough as bump stop extension until they don't. There are better options.
That is my understanding, or close to it. The need is to extend the bump stops in order to limit the travel for one reason or another.I thought he had stock bump stops and needed to limit travel?
The cookie cutter steel cup is right behind the soft jounce.I’ve seen pic where some one used hockey pucks for a body lift and they split. The jounce bumpers above them in the front is way softer.

It doesn't take much. Speed bumps, unexpected dips. I suspect you've been there more than you realize.Right. I’d think it would have to be an awfully hard hit. I dont know. I hope I never find out. LOL
