Ok, recently it's been all trial and error anyway. Just throw more $$$ at it, all in the name of science.....

Sounds like you need another, stock jeep, as a control. For science.
I should have kept the last one. I can't find anything like that for sale now!
Remember this abomination? I applied my clear coat a bit too heavy when I did my tub replacement last winter.
I scraped and sanded the runs out, and then left it for a couple months. Finally got sick of it and spent a few hours sanding and polishing with the high speed buffer this week. It's not perfect, but I'm happy with the result.

Ouch. If it was red it would have looked like a candy apple. No offence (I've been there too) but did you use the mop to clean it up?

Do you happen to remember how those silver Jeep center caps were attached? Did they drill out mounting holes and bolt onto backside of the steel wheels like factory steelies or are the they kind that are just held on with the lugnuts?
They were mounted with a screw through the wheel. I think they are standard Cherokee covers.
