My son coon hunts.

Has a truck stuck - on federal property. Wants to recover it after midnight.

Wants dads Jeep.

Uh, dad will go with you -Jeeps at Dave’s place, I’ll send (pay) workers to get it.

Plan- son, pick up my jeep At the office and get it home so I can check it out and we will go at 12 am - . Key hid . “Ok dad I sure will.”

Dad gets home- Jeep not here, son asleep.

So what will happen- dad crashes, son wakes, gets Jeep under the pretense of “didn’t want to wake you” and nearly destroys it. This is historically proven.

So- the key goes away in 20 minutes, and he can figure out his problem.

Moral- please don’t involve me and not do your part. Especially if you have a track record of tearing up my stuff.

I get you. I love my kids, but they have a track record of returning "borrowed" things is the less than perfect condition I loaned them out.

One time my daughter borrowed my car, and it came back with the radio volume knob missing, along with a scratch/dent. "Oh dad, it was like that", was her reply when questioned.

Exactly. Most of the time “I have no idea” is the answer.

Well son, I do and I wasn’t even there.

My daughter when she was in HS, systematically had me replace 3 out of the 4 tires over several months. Ironically, it was always the passenger front. And coincidentally there was a 1" gash on the side wall each time, "oh it just went flat". No, you smashed a curb looking at your phone oh, and the 20" aluminum rim is also bent.

Exactly-

Women take it to a whole new level-

“It won’t go”

“ I know baby, you knocked the pan off the transmission jumping parking curbs at Target to get to Marshalls- I’m looking for you a nice Abrams tank to drive”

I was guilty of similar as a teen, my dad started making me leave a deposit, Cash, bday watch, etc. straightened me out pretty quick once I had skin in the game.

Your dad is a genius.

Your post are always fun and hilarious. Keep it up. Have another shot of reality on me!

Thanks sir- this forum is an outlet for me. I can say a lot of the stuff I’m thinking that typically gets me in hot water.

Hope I don’t drive everyone here as crazy as I am.

We adore and drive jeeps. That puts us all on a bit of the crazy side. So in my opinion we fit right in there with you.
