Chris, could you please post a list of jeeps you have owned along with the length of time you’ve owned each of them? We need some more background info to Set the over/under on how long you’ll have this one...

In all honesty, it’s just so much easier to find black interior trim pieces as oppose to khaki.
It's also helpful to remove the door jamb switches from the jambs, especially if you're doing it solo. I broke the passenger one when pulling it. Took me 7 hours, but that was changing the heater core/evap core, and cleaning up wiring. Add some noico to the bulkhead while you're there.
Doesn’t sound too bad. Is the dash held on via bolts on the engine side of the firewall? I’ll have to take a look at the FSM.
While I was in there I would probably do the heater core just to do it.
No, it sits on studs that stick up that you put nuts on. You literally hang it and then put all the crap back together.
If you want to remove the HVAC box there are some fun nuts to remove from the firewall side. Remove the battery for better access.

I pulled the dash out when I changed my heater and evap cores. It was really easy. I made it a little more time consuming than probably needed because I put painters tape in every thing I disconnected and labeled them because I knew it was going to take me a couple weeks to complete the job due to working around my work schedule at the time. I didn’t want to forget where something went.
I found that a bungie cord hooked to the grill support rod made a good 3rd hand to hold the to hold the wire harness at the back of the valve cover out of the way a little while working with the double nutted stud on the firewall in that area.
Also, loosen the pinch bolt on the steering column some before rotating the column to lock it before removing it. I didn’t and it’s a pain to reach when the bolt head is on the top side.

Why not get a cobra 75, mine works great. Have rugged radios for portability but they don’t do CB.
I guess I could. I'm thinking about a HAM radio though with a portable CB, but maybe I could just run both.
Being from Massachusetts, I find it incredibly entertaining that someone living in AZ would buy a jeep from out here, when I'd be more likely to buy one from out there!
Sure looks like a nice rig though. I'm not sure how he ever got a legit inspection sticker on it in Mass.
That Jeep came from Nevada. He only recently moved to Massachusetts due to his wife taking a good job offer that required them to relocate.
So believe me, it's not a Mass vehicle
As for the inspection sticker, I'm thankful there is no such thing as inspections or emissions out here!
