Thoughts on my steering setup?

I havent noticed really any steering issues since buying jeep (other than a little touchy) but was under there putting on new bmb pads and rotors and noticed checking out some of the steering geometry.

The jeep appears to have a full traction adjustable track bar with drop bracket on frame side. What looks odd is the drop pitman to steering drag link (doesnt look well aligned).

Take a look and give some feedback, suggestions, etc.

Anyway, wanted to get others thoughts on ideal steering setup.

I have a 4.5 RE coils + 1.25 BBL+1.0 MML.

Because your steering is "dangling parts" in the pics it's very heard to see what the real world geometry is.
Unless you have 6" lift or greater I'd lose the drop pitman arm for a stocker.
 
I would try measuring toe in or out. Lack of toe in can cause steering to be "a little touchy." The dropped pitman arm doesn't seem that uncommon, but it is vilified here. I think there is a lot of parroting by people that don't understand why it is bad. The change in the trackbar mount requires a dropped pitman arm. The geometry is better IMO, but the rise in stress by the longer TB mount could be an issue.

A 6" spring lift has no place on stock style steering or any well balanced build on stock axles.

The dropped bracket has a horizontal bolt vs the stock type vertical bolt. I don't see why there would be any bind in up or down travel.

It puts stuff in the way where stuff doesn't need to be. Mine couldn't go up as high as it does if the pitman and track bar were lower.

Depending on what you plan to do with your Jeep we can make some recommendations to help you achieve what you want to do. There are better ways to lift a TJ than just taller and taller springs.

I have 33's on it now. Largest I might entertain is 35's but dont really want to lose 4lo- crawl speed. Gearing is 5:13...kinda wish it was 5:38 but likely not worth the expense at this point.

I dont want any taller springs, especially with the body lift that was just put on.
