Which SYE?

Just to clarify, the speedo-healer used to electronically correct the speedometer is recommended but not required when going with the SSSYE. It is also an additional item you need to purchase - not included with the SSSYE. I have good intentions of eventually getting around to purchasing one but haven't spent the money yet. For the time being, I rely on other methods for monitoring my speed.
It is nice having an accurate odometer. The speedometer can easily be ignored for a GPS program on a phone such as waze.

so does the SYE come with an electronic speedo or do you need to buy one?
Normal SYE re-uses your existing speedo gear & wiring. SSSSSSSSSYE eliminates that componentry as part of making it super short, so you have to supplement with an electronic kit.

Cuz it says on the JB conversions website that it comes with one
The SSSYE from JB comes with the electronic output which plugs right into your existing speedometer harness. So your speedometer still functions as normal, it's just not corrected until you add in the speedo-healer.

A regular SYE will be fine for your lift height and be cheaper, too, especially after considering the cost of a speedo healer w/the super short. That said, if you ever plan to go higher you may wish you had a super short.

You may be able to find a used SYE, my friend picked one up for ~$50, and then had a used driveshaft made to size for another $50. Good deal.
