Project "Frankentrailer"

Sweet! I'm leaning toward Tepui since they are in Santa Cruz. I can go to their facility and actually rent one for a weekend and test it out to see if I like it. I thought that was a neat feature. I also will need a custom annex to house the dogs at night, vs. leaving them in the back of the jeep or putting up a tent dedicated for them.
I think I saw one on Craig'slist or somewhere for $250 that attaches to the kind of tent you want to get.

I think I have finally made an appt to go look at mine tonight. I will let you know how that goes. It has a smittybilt XL already on it with an annex.

I did it. I bought a franken trailer, I won't use that name other than in this post, but it is pretty cool

This is a picture from the post:

Did you buy the hitch or did you build it yourself?

A jeep friend who is also a fabricator/welder made it for me. He built one for his trailer, and whipped one up for me for the cost of materials.

Here's one that I dug up, but I'll take some better shots for you.

I think a very large grade 8 bolt and nut along with some square box and round pipe and a bunch of welding/grinding/shaping was involved if I were to guess.
