I am looking at either a pair of driving lights or a light bar, probably a dual spot/flood 20 inch bar. I live out in the country and driving home at night I am always dodging deer. What would you recommend for my situation?

My top two choices would be these:
Truck-Lite 7" LED Headlights
Lantsun 7" LED Headlights
Having run both of those headlights I can tell you that the Truck-Lites are a bit more spend, but they are made in the USA and Truck Lite is also a supplier of lighting to vehicles used by the US Army in Iraq and Afghanistan. They are top notch and they are DOT approved (if that matters). The Truck Lites are mind-blowing in regards to light output. I mean it's shocking how well they light up the road, but at the same time they DO NOT blind oncoming traffic whatsoever.
The Lantsun LED lights are cheaper for sure, and the light output is just a hair below the Truck-Lites. Very great headlights, and while they are made in China, they are definitely not cheap garbage by any means.
These two choices are hands down the two most popular upgrade options for the Wrangler TJ. In addition to that, they are both plug-and-play, and take around 5 minutes each to install.

One step down from those is the Hella E-code halogens. I installed a pair in my TJ and really like them. Not DOT approved though. About $80 a pair. Really nice, crisp cut-off, and the halogen bulbs are replacedable if / when they burn out.
Hey Chris<<<< How can ya tell if truck lite 7 headlights are real or knockoffs? Reason for asking is I found a set at the junk yard from a wrecked Jeep wrangler, Hit in the rear and totaled out. They look great and work perfect. I have been looking online to see any specific marks or numbers and so far nothing different from what I see on these. I live in a very rural area of north Carolina and these guys at junk yard don't know what they have. I take em out, which I already did 1. Think I can get em for $50 or less. Even knock offs if this is what they are, would not be bad would they?
They will say Truck Lite on them if they are legit. They'll also say DOT on the lens. Look for any imprints or makings on them and it will be very obvious.
For $50 I suppose anything is better than the stock ones, so yeah, I'd say that's a win-win no matter what.
I looked at pics of the truck lites and finally saw the truck lite logo on the glass, will have to go and look again at these but at that price I think I will try them, not much loss if no good but like you say has to be better than stock At least I hope so until I can do better, Thanks
You're right. At that price it would be hard to lose on them unless they are damaged. Even the cheapest Chinese lights are still around $100 for a pair.
I went ahead and got them but they are not true truck lite 7's. Not a scratch on them so they could not have been in the jeep long at all. Now when I can get them on I will let you know how they do. I see it says they have the cree 40 watt led chips in them. One's I have looked at on Amazon and Ebay mostly have 20's or even some with 10's, so hopefully they will do good and not be a blinding light that I cannot use! Thanks for all your help. I finally got my lights in and OMG!!!!! What a difference they make! Not sure how Truck lites are but these are amazing, both on low and high beams. My phone does not take good pics but I will try to post. They look great on Jeep
