Weight carrying is just a hitch ball. Your back bumper is a weight carrying hitch of sorts.
When most people think of the word hitch, they think a receiver style hitch. The receiver is what bolts to your vehicle, the ball mount is either weight carrying or weight distribution.
Like Ryan said, the hitch with the weight scale on it you posted is a weight carrying ball mount....
This is a weight distribution ball mount and spring bar set up. (one style anyway)
Sway control is usually an aditional bar that goes between the hitch and the trailer frame that you can adjust the about of friction there is for the bar to slide and allow turning. You tighten it up for driving down the highways, and loosen it up for city driving.

I guess i'll just have to weigh the jeep and trailer and find out if I do need the distru or not.
and for the sway... when I towed the mr2 and audi, I can't remember anything that I would call "sway" during the drive. So I'm just gonna assume I don't need an antisway setup until I start to think I do.
I can already tell you, that you will need one if you are going to use a hitch extender under your camper.
You will also need one that is designed to use with the hitch extender.
I would only use an extender like the one @Wildman posted.
Equalizer is weight distribution and sway control in one. Which looks to be the one you posted. I liked mine on my F150, no need on the Superduty.

I think you’ll have to have an extender or you run the risk of the trailer and camper coming in contact with each other in non flat situations.
If you’re concerned about dragging a dove tail you should be concerned about that situation. Much more likely and a significant problem.
Plus hooking up under there would suck.
Not always... sway control may come with some but sway control is a separate piece of the puzzle.
He was eluding to needing the equalizer hitch... a sway controller isn't always a need... it depends on how you set up your tongue pull trailer. If you end up with a close to equal weight bias front/rear on the trailer I would definitely want a sway control. It's too easy for the tail to wag the dog...
That'd have to be one helluva long tongue and a seriously low decked trailer.
Make sure the trailer doesn't wind up with a toolbox or other stuff on the front that will hit the camper when you jack knife it
How is it living out in Florissant? We are looking for a place in the springs, monument area but I want a RV garage/shop on the property and not a whole lot for sale until you get out of town.
You're going to need a hitch extension PERIOD. Your camper hangs over the back of your truck way too far. This one is 18" long and with a weight distribution hitch it's good for 6500lbs. But it cuts whatever your hitch its rated for by 50%. So if you've only got a 10K then it's only good for 5K. This is one of the reasons I decided not to get a camper for my dually. I knew I'd have to have a 36-42" long extension and it really bothered me the thought of having that long of leverage off the back of my truck. It was also part of why I'd built my Redneck Toyhauler before.
OK last time I'd looked they were close to $9K for a split tilt deck.

I think you could put a roller in the middle front of the tilt section and be able to have a winch mounted there.
I'm pointing out the Equalizer is both, incase Basket were to need a WDH.
