Coming up in one of my mash up videos...
I was in Sand Hollow for two weeks. After a week of awesome wheelin', and good friends, on Saturday night Nina flew in to join me for the second week. We were able to visit Hoover Dam, Zion National Park, and Grand Canyon. All were firsts for us. Zion is amazing, the Canyon is huge, and Hoover Dam, well, not as colossal as I imagined. Still very cool though.
I also talked Nina into a little wheelin' adventure, and we took a quick run up to Toquorville Falls. About a fifteen mile road drive from Sand Hollow, the trail is a loop of about 10 miles.
I mentioned earlier that Sand Hollow was pretty much dust free. Well, the Toquorville Falls Trail made up for it - in spades!
No dust in the waterfall, though...

Did you tour the dam? It’s incredible how thick it is.
In hindsight I should have mentioned you and Victor to cruise down to Oatman if you had the chance.
I almost turned around and invited myself to try and follow you guys when we passed each other by the water towers. The smaller group looks like a more enjoyable experience.
Not that I didn’t have a good time on the Maze with the main group… just kept thinking about what shenanigans you guys were up to, haha.
I’m a dam fan. I’ve read a lot about it, its construction, capacity, output - and how the water level in Lake Mead has been as low as 50 or 60 feet above the lowest level of the water intakes.
I figured I better visit now while it is still operating…
It was facinating. It is massive, but in my mind’s expectation it was even bigger.

When you make it back, the glen canyon dam is another impressively good sight (closer to sand hollow, but to the east) forming lake Powell. If you like rafting you can also raft the glen canyon, which at least back in 2011 was pretty mild and enjoyable.

Did you get to do any hikes in Zion? Angels Landing is one of the better hikes I have been on in any national park I have been to, amazing views.

Just a few, but not Angel's. We hit the pools, weeping rock, and a few other short hikes. Very cool place.
If he won't I can run over and pick them up and take them to a UPS store and have them shipped.
About 5 hours... but I could stop and visit my mom....
I'm sure I could find other reasons to go that direction.
Wow. Pretty cool to find nice ones in the correct color. Did the driver door look as good?
If not, it's only about a 8 hour round trip for me to get them.
I have not seen it yet. No response from the seller.
The seller still hasn't got back to me yet.
