I like this idea. Im this close to ordering the JK lights but what to do with the factory amber light?
Looks like the best option if you want to keep the factory fender is delete the oe signal light and bondo over the hole.
Im still giving it serious thought :)

My plan was to weld in flat piece of metal then bondo to smooth out and shape

That sounds like a good plan @CasperLLY . I guess now is as good a time as any for me to learn to weld n do some body work. :-/ :)
If you end up doing that i sure would like to see a pic or two of your work please.

Will do. Just FYI when you weld the plate in you'll want to spot slowly from side to side and top to bottom till you are all the way around

Gotcha, to avoid overheating the metal too much in one spot i assume, thanks for that tip. This should be a fun project, or two!
;-)

If you like the CJ look, why not the CJ turn signal lights vs the JK lights.... just wondering.
I may have my cj and jk and yj mixed up. I wanted the smaller of the two lights, i hope i ordered the right ones.... :-/
I am hoping these are the 3 1/16" lights. Im not sure if that is cj or otherwise.
Itll take some work but the look will be unique if done right.
With amber ligbts under the headlights you know its a jeep, even at nigbt. :)

Yes i plan to @lowranger. Its either do the body work myself or shell out $300 + for flat front fenders. The wallet says i get to do the body work. :)
Nice! Glad you are going that route, will give it that more of a CJ look. Can't wait to see it. I wish I had the skills of a body and fender man.

Anyone that has done this...Are the signals visible with a winch up front? I would like to do the same, but looking at the front of my jeep, there isn't much visible real estate available...

I don't have the bar and off road lights that you do. The lights would be visible on my rig with my winch.

Mine are visible, but that hoop on yours seems like it would block any visibility

That was my concern, the only downside is bumper accessories could get in the way of the cj lights.

I wonder if that is the reason Jeep moved the lights from the front grill to the front fenders.
BTW Ranger_B0b that is one mean head-on shot. I love the stance on your jeep. Thats more less what im shooting for, the bad a** tj look.
:)
