Just an update on the Wranglerfix ECM: As of October 23rd 2019 at 6:00 PM EST, the price of the Wranglerfix ECM has increased $175 and going from $573 to $748.

Just prior to my phone call, and looking at the website during the call, the price was still $573. I was frantically trying to check out with the old price before the new price went into effect, but this annoying chat thing kept popping up. So I hit the back button, and the price jumped to $748.

He did tell me on the phone that the price was going up. I am just furious that I wasn't able to beat the clock and or found this seemingly permanent fix to the problematic 05 & 06 ECM problem two days sooner and get my Jeep running for under $600. But at $748 with a one year warranty, I am out! For you guys lucky enough to get a good reliable fix for your 05 & 06 at a reasonable price, consider yourself lucky. For those of us, me included, it is now going to cost considerably more $$$ to get a fix for the problematic Jeep ECM.

Good news though for the automatic transmission owners as the price for the automatic ECM is still $573

Thank you for you post. However, it needs some further clarification....

Your frantic checkout consisted of you answering my “annoying chat thing,” disconnecting and calling me (I have your time spent on my site, IP address and pages visited...)

When I spoke to you to you at 5:03 Eastern time (Not 6:00) and immediately told you the price went up (742, not 748) I also specifically told you the reason for the price increase in manuals which are as follows:

We put the manual transmission pcms through a different battery of tests that takes almost double the time...Some of the manual units were failing on one of the tests and therefore more time and resources became necessary. That’s verbatim what I told you, sir.

Now this is what you conveniently left out of your post:

You had a male in the background muttering (insinuating) about me screwing you with, “here comes the hard-on’” twice before you hung up on me! I don’t screw anyone, sir.

At 5:52 EST you called me back attempting to guilt me into selling you the pcm which I didn’t dowhich led you hear to back bite me.

I welcome you to refute one (1) single word that I’ve written, sir.

@shimaze

I will honor the 573 price for you because I don’t ever want to leave anyone feeling like I duped them.

I own a small company that relies upon word-of-mouth testimonials rather than expensive Internet marketing.

I publicly apologize for my response last night. It wasn’t necessary and I’m sorry.

My number is 866-888-7710 if you’d like to place an order. If not, I completely understand.

Best regards,

L J, you would not be 😆 if a phone call cost you $169!
This is a confusing mess and as you can see, Mark is trying to make it better. I'll help as well to take some of the sting out of it. If you get a PCM from Mark, post up and I'll give you a 100 bucks off of any of our Big Brake Kits should you ever find yourself in need. The only reason I would do this is Mark has been there for us when we needed him and I don't like confusion over a basic issue to get blown this far out of proportion.

I can tell you from my experience installing a WranglerFix PCM is a very good value. Considering it works amazingly well. I have dealt with Jeep owners spending $1100-$1400 for a PCM that is plain out junk. Nothing but problems, never mind waste of time and money. Having worked on vehicles for a long time the price point WranglerFix is set at is a freaking bargain in my opinion. Consider the facts like the amount of time it takes to build, program and test. When I buy a part I want it to work right and for a long time. Personally customer service to me is extremely valuable and what price do you put on that? Having spoke to Mark at WFix I know he is dedicated to taking care of his customers and I highly doubt he is trying to rip anyone off over a $169. If the price was $950 the PCM for the manual transmission TJ's would still be a deal!! I'm just glad there is a solid resource that I can use to get these TJ's fixed, make people happy and get on down the road! -Ozz

The issue has been resolved. Mark is a man of his word and if I cast shadow upon his integrity then I was wrong so please accept my apology. I never once had any doubt that his ECM would fix my problem. I spoke to several ECM vendors yesterday and only one was honest enough to tell me not to send them my ECM because it could not be repaired. And he offers a repair service for a paltry $169. Even at that price I still would not take the risk because I knew I was throwing money away. I then came across Wranglerfix.com looking for a factory ECM alternative. I was and still am convinced that Wranglerfix is the only hope for a permanent cure. Even the $169 guy told me the outlook on the factory 05/06 ECM was very dim.

I am certain that I now have a chance to far exceed my goal of 100k miles! I am at 90k now. When it ran, it ran fine. But it would only run for 3 to 5 miles before going into whack mode!

Glad you guys were able to work it out and that you now have fix for your rig.

I installed the WranglerFix PCM on 7/2/19 and my '06 TJ is still running and shifting smooth. Thanks Mark!

thank you as well! I wish I was sitting on top of Lookout Mountain right now! I’ll be in Dalton around Christmas time!

Hey guys,

Thank you for reading my post. I've spent several years working at an ECM company and quickly became aware of the PCM issues with the 05-06 Jeep Wrangler. In order to solve the issue, our company purchased an 05 and reversed-engineered a working, plug-and-drive PCM. I am enclosing a YouTube link that thoroughly walks through the issues and solution! (I just provided the PCM, Glen at @Ozzstar on YouTube did the hard work!)

I hope this helps some of you that have the issue.

best regards,

Mark
