What I can gather its similar in size and shape to a nv4500. If you are able to get the engine high enough and you are able to chop up the trans tunnel and make a new tunnel, it would probably work with being able to gain some belly clearance over stock. When I saw them having to chop up a stock skid to fit it, it just didn't seem feasible.

Marlin crawler used to sell lower 1st gears for the ax-15. 4.3 and 5.15 ratios were both available since the ax-15 was used in some overseas land cruisers and Japanese work trucks (it wasn't called the ax-15 transmission though). I've looked around and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to get them currently.

omg I'm so glad I read that. My NV3550 absolutly has the rattling sound in neutral! and when you're starting from a stop. What is that?!? It's done that the entire time i've had it so i never thought much of it.

Yep I'd guess you'd have to give them a call.

But my SWAG is that is will have stock NV3550 ratios.
