Blaine is Blaine. I have been publicly shamed, but he has also been very patient taking time to help get a difficult project done. Don't let him get to you. I vote no...most of the time.

I don't think I quite put it like that. If I did, I apologize. I more than likely pointed out that I like to support the originators of products in favor of the cost cutting imitations and copy cats.
You did. I was an infantile. Never heard of Buchanan. Just typed in seat risers, found the height I wanted and bought them. That got me in more trouble with you! ROFLMAO. @Starkey brought the discussion back to mind several months ago and we had a good laugh!

Never a need to apologize.

Much love,
JMT

It took me QUITE some time to get used to Blaine - as much as that's possible that is. I don't know if I'm getting used to him or he upped his meds, but he doesn't seem to be nearly as abrasive to me as he seemed when I joined this forum about a year and a half ago.

He does seem to get overly personal at times - which was my main problem with him - but I also think that in many ways he and I are a lot alike and that always generates friction. He doesn't give two fucks about what anybody thinks, and I'm pretty much the same way albeit possibly "gentler".

In any event, he knows his shit 99.9999% of the time, and once you figure out his posts are sometimes cryptic to make you suss out the answer yourself instead of handing it to you on a sliver platter, he becomes more understandable. Answers you figure out for yourself are more valuable and believable. So even if I decide to go against his advice, I at least know why I'm doing so even if my reasons are silly.

Besides, he has a very subtle sense of humor!

One thing that I really enjoy is someone that publicly touts a very staunch viewpoint and then violates it at practically every turn. That is phenomenal cannon fodder for lots of teasing and ribbing. You are a self proclaimed Luddite yet you post up examples contrary to that belief system often enough that giving you shit for it isn't even standing on your tippy toes to get the fruit, it all hangs lower. You lob a softball over the plate slow enough, it is irresistible to swing away. You're also a bit more tender than I gave you credit for being the real life equivalent of "A Boy Named Sue".

you shoulda seen the way Blaine taught me how to format an address

when I got it wrong the first time, he said " "
and when I got it wrong AGAIN, he said " "
and when I finally got it right he said "now was that so hard?"

what a lad

The one about running cargo ships with solar panels. The math ain't there.
The solar panels were not the sole means of power, I didn't feel like pointing that out since I assumed you were smarter than than and just got confused.

All I was suggesting is the current storage for bunker oil was lots of size and weight and with solar panel back up to recharge, while slow, is much better than nothing. But yeah, 2400 hp equivalent is a bit sad although the technology will keep improving.

I wonder how many TJ's the guy has driven. Probably hundreds. I bet he is nice in person. Has most likely forgotten more than many know, But I don't think he forgets anything.
