How do older springs affect ride?

Okay so I know the whole debate on how spring rate isn’t that important for ride quality but what about age of the springs, for example I have a skyjacker lift on my jeep, I didn’t put it on and I wouldn’t have put it on if I did but I’m a high schooler and can’t afford the suspension I want, anyways the only video I’ve seen is of a six inch one that looks really similar to my lift from 11 years ago, I don’t know exactly what size is on it but anyways, my jeep rides like garbage and I know a lot of it is my shocks, pro comp rs5000 but could very old spring affect ride quality?

Springs set your height and nothing more. Focus on your shocks, tire pressure and whether or not your bump stops are set correctly.

Shocks are what is responsible for ride quality, bad springs would cause the Jeep to sag. RS5000 shocks from Rancho and ES3000 shocks from ProComp would cause your Jeep to ride like an old buckboard wagon. Overinflated tires can also cause a bad ride. Exactly what air pressure is in them?

I took your advice and dropped tire pressure down to 28

The only reason an old spring would effect the ride is if it was no longer providing the appropriate ride height for the shock.
