Glad to see you're going through this and addressing all the necessary fixes!

Appreciate it! Slowly but surely going through it.

Currently indecisive whether I want to high line or go with flat fenders from the same company…

Spent part of the day removing the Banks Turbo System off the Yellow TJ. For now I’ll cerakote the main bracket from future rust, order a heat shield for the turbo, and store it away once all the other upgrades are done. Hopefully by then I’ll put together a DIY intercooler set up and once on I’ll be running it again this time through HP Tuners with Flyin’ Ryan Performance doing his magic.

I also swapped the new Crown Automotive OPDA and clocked the sensor pointing towards the Radiator to avoid contact with the exhaust pipe for the Banks Turbo down the road.

that'll make the LJR funnier to drive up those Oregon mountain passes. I have a 05 LJR on 35s and want to do a stroker swap but the original engine at 170k runs so perfect I can justify getting rid of it yet. Maybe a banks turbo instead, I'll be following along your build!

My Heavy TJ on 35’s with Auto Trans and the Banks Turbo at the time did great up and down the 5! Sadly, Banks no longer offers the Turbo.

I purchased a set of used Currie control arms a while back that were meant to go my TJ before purchasing the LJR.

Well, I decided to piece together an entire lift based around these Control Arms for the LJR to include Currie Springs, JKS track bars, etc.

I ended up inspecting the Johnny joints, cleaning them up and putting down Red Line CV2 grease on all the joints before reinstalling them using my friends Ball Joint Kit.

The exhaust actually flows through the block bracket?
The Bracket from Banks has the Turbo attached to it which also replaces the stock bracket for the Alternator (so the alternator attached to the same bracket).

From there the exhaust banks provides starts under the oil pan, connects to the bracket/turbo under the alternator, then wraps back down near the starter before connecting to the back of the exhaust towards the third cat.

Huh, that's interesting. I don't think I've ever seen it done like that before.

Got a little busy today. After attempting to move the Jeep a few days ago I found out I couldn’t go into reserve as well as 2nd, 4th, and 6th gear on the manual transmission.

Guess the body lift alongside the “t-case drop” (due to the Long Arm) severely pushed the transmission down. I temporarily solved it by throwing on the Teraflex Belly Up Skid Plate. During installation I noted that it was missing a bolt to the Transmission Mount- so a trip to the hardware store occurred.

I ended the day by removing and selling the fender flares (getting the owners original fenders temporarily) and will now be placing an order from Nemesis Industries for all Aluminum flat fenders, tub armor/rock sliders, and Corner Armor.

Good timing not having fenders as it’ll make installing my motor mount lift much easier. 😂

Nemesis Industries Flat Fenders, Tub Armor/Slidersand, Corner Armor have been ordered 👌🏽

It was a pleasure speaking to the President of the Company Rob regarding my parts and can expect it in the next 4-6 weeks. 😬

Spent today swapping over the original Motor Mounts with MORE Bomb Proof 1” MML and flipping the driver side cross bolt to the MML so I never deal with removing the Motor Mount Bracket again. I also added the MORE 1” Steering Bracket.

I will say it was great timing selling off my fenders as it made it much easier reaching most of the bolts.

Went to the local junkyard at an attempt to look for a oem fan blade, and pitman arm to replace the random fan blade and drop pitman arm currently on the LJR.

Managed to find a 2000 Wrangler on the lot and not only pulled a pitman arm but also found a couple of the spare tire tailgate snubbers (missing a few that would help the Moryde kit) and a lower steering shaft whenever I get around upgrading to the PSC Steering Box.

I spent a part of the day working on the Yellow TJ: returning the stock injectors, air intake and other small things due to removing the banks turbo. Weird seeing this 4.0 stock under the hood…

As for the LJR I went through and replaced the spark plugs.

In other news pro comp sent out brand new headlights per their Lifetime Warranty! It’ll be nice to get rid of the set that have now yellowed over/began cracking that were originally on my wife’s JKU.

Did I mention I’m thankful for selling the front fender flares when I did? 😂

Finally made the time returning the radiator and fan back to factory and the process overall was a breeze.

I ended up going as far as replacing the entire cooling system with OEM parts (ie water pump, thermostat, and sensor). Had to replace the sensor due to it breaking apart when I removed it from the block that was attached to the thermostat housing. This block in the photo from the looks of it was used due to the aftermarket electric fan wiring.

Con

congrats man! Love the color, not sure I’m going to be satisfied until I have the LJR myself… dammit, congratulations again!
Thank you! I truly never expected to own one quite honestly but glad the stars aligned and found my chance!

It’s been a tad slow due to working primarily on my Yellow TJ. I removed my built Dana 44 front Rubicon Axle from the Yellow TJ (replacing it with a HP Dana 30) that’ll be going on the LJR. Not to mention I’m still waiting on my go to guys electrical to be added to his shop and have the lower CA brackets welded on.

Currently I threw on a stock set of fenders that I received from the guy I sold my Smittybilt Fender Flares. Looks funky in white but will do until my parts from Nemesis Arrive. Due to the length it might be before the brackets are welded on I went ahead and removed the air shocks and threw on the Falcon Shocks from Terraflex. Night and day difference ride wise from what it once was-as expected. 😂
