Why it doesn't cover side to side. Seems a bit small for the opening.

Ahh, gotcha, yeah the gap does seem a bit much. It still actually works quite well at keeping the wind off of you. they used to make a wrap around windjammer that connects to the surrounds where the soft top windows would connect. That gap is actually helpful for rear side view when I change lanes to see if anyone is behind me in the other lane. a wrap around would completely block that view.

Yeah, that is true. I remember using that gap to look for rear traffic also. It's been so long since I had one of those, I forgot all about that. Thanks for the reminder.

My roll bar covers were faded to the point of looking brown. I read in this forum how spraying them works well. So I removed them, sent them through the wash and applied a couple cans of matte black fabric spray.

Really amazed how well the spray worked. Covers look brand new.

I know this is thread necro. But I have a question about the OEM padding and covers? They appear way thicker. Am I correct in assuming they can only be found at a junkyard or from a private seller? I've not seen them aftermarket. And would like to replace mine with original. And what about the sound bar? Is the only option repainting them?

Also will 03-06 padding fit a 97-02?
