I saw that. Haha. I am excited to mitigate some of the mess that slings up on the sides of the TJ! One thing I need to do along with this is replace the rivnuts for them. I've had to pull out almost all of them. Haha.
For what it’s worth, I’ve had mine now for quite a while and they are still holding up well.

I had 6" Xenon when I bought it, then went to 4" KBD. I like the cut of the Xenon better but the 6" looked like dumbo ears. The KBD worked great but are angled as opposed to squared off and flung more mud. I smacked my fenders into trees a couple times and ended up selling the stock fenders before I destroyed them, have Genrights now. The poly flairs bounced back every time even after being bent in 1/2 couple times.

I have the KBD urethane flares that this thread is about. I’ve been really happy with them. Like @inkedrose said, they are pretty durable too. I’ve had mine leaned into trees and they just kinda go back to shape. They don’t do anything to influence the sheet metal tho. I bent a fender doing one such tree leaning incident, The flare bent with it. When I got home and hammered the bend out, the flare just kept the shape of the fender. No memory.
They work well and I like how they look. Been a good purchase for me.
It took me a long ass time to decide on a set of flares - the KBDs seem to be the best all around choice - and they're affordable too!
Same. I'd been trying to figure out what to do since I lost mine on the last wheeling trip. These check almost all the boxes!
I’ve only ever seen two sets for sale. One was by a member here a few years ago, and the second is the set I bought. Keep looking…. They’ll turn up eventually.
Note: I’ve seen them for JK’s if you don’t mind running an adapter.
These arrived yesterday and I did a quick and dirty install using the included plastic rivets. I’m waiting on rivnuts to replace them all and still need to drill out the hole for the side marker light and get that spliced in.
How long did it take from start to finish? Mine will be here next week, but Goddess only knows when I'll be able to install them.
About 30 minutes, but I didn’t have flares to take off. I wasn’t even planning on doing it this morning but spontaneously decided to.
30 minutes. Ok - I'll allocate 2 weeks...
If you're like me, don't forget to allot the time that that package will sit on the work bench with you walking by saying "I need to install those." Like my tailgate armor and HD hinges that have been sitting around for about 6 months.
I wish I could find a cheapish used set of these to run for a bit until I switch to a full fender replacement.
Yea, there's that too. I have a whole list of stuff waiting to be done, and the flares are at the bottom of it. We have another 6 weeks or so of horrid hot weather, then it'll start to cool off and I can get some stuff done!
