The official snowflake thread

Jeez, can't we read this shit everywhere ELSE on the internet? Why can't this just be a TJ Jeep forum and that's good enough?

This is the off topic forum. Are we not allowed to post off topic discussions in the off topic forum?

What should we be allowed to post?

If you don't like reading stuff like this, either don't click on it, or use the "Ignore Forum" feature, and you can ignore the entire Off-Topic sub-forum altogether. Then you'll never have to see anything not related to Jeeps... ever.

I find it so true and very entertaining. Thanks for starting this thread Chris.

We saw the hand righting on the wall when our kids were young (all adults now and no snowflakes thanks to mom and dad I might add) when they were handing out "participation awards?" We just looked at each other, rolled our eyes and were like WTF is this crap? And, by the way, I wear my MAGA cap ALL THE TIME, my wife gave it to me.
p.s. we always told our kids they had 3 choices after HS,
1. College
2. Military or
3. the bridge
We have one RN and two Sergeants in the Marine Corp.
Nobody's living under the bridge.

I don't even know what a Rachael Evan Woods is.

I'm in the same place, and my wife hates when I ask questions like this, "What is a Rachael Evan Woods?"

She is Dolores in Westworld

And this still doesn't really answer the question even if my wife had asked, "Who is Rachael Evan Woods?" Although she may already know.

I don't know who she is either. But it popped up on my news feed for some reason, and since I'm a Stranger Things fan, I clicked on it.

Toxic masculinity is a great one. The terms these nut jobs come up with is mind blowing. Seems like some people have nothing better to do these days other than complain.

My masculinity is only toxic after a hard night of bourbon drinking and cigars.

We ran into the same thing when we enrolled my daughter in Tae Keon Do. We pulled her after a week. That place is a fucking joke. I sat in that entire week during her classes and they weren’t teaching them anything useful at all in terms of a real world street right. Not to mention they were doing everything you described.

Next time I’ll enroll her in Krav Maga.

He plays hockey now which he really likes, and his little sister might start next year. He didn't like it at first because he couldn't skate well, so he got out there and was just getting circles skated around him. I told him the only way to get better at anything is surround yourself w/ people who are better at it than yourself. He worked hard and now he's doing great.

I like hockey because its almost constant conflict and also lets them get aggression out in a controlled environment. They're 8 so it's not like NHL hits or anything, but there's a little body contact and maybe an elbow when the ref isn't looking. I think it's healthy for kids to be comfortable w/ conflict and not being good at stuff.

I still remember the school in Buffalo NY for field day at an elementary school had to change the name of
"Tug of War" to "Yank for Fun"!! I kid you not.

Yank for Fun!!! Sounds like a place outside the gates of a certain military base in S. Korea.

When my first kid first started going to preschool I was there one day and heard the teacher say "Ok kids, lets get criss-cross-applesauce!" I didn't know what in the hell was going on until I watched them all sit down indian-style. Come to find out acknowledging that Indians once sat on the ground w/ their legs crossed is terribly insensitive.

I guess if you're not offended you're not doing it right.

Yank for fun? Sounds like a pick up line when I was in HS.
Ive become one of the grumpy old men. I stopped caring about offending people, and correct people when they state they are ***-American. BS, you're an American and nothing special. So many of the younger crowd just don't get it. I too had a daughter who used to say "don't judge me" we laugh about it now. I had always told her, that was my job and it was given to me by God, so get over it. If it weren't for the snowflakes, I wouldn't have anyone to laugh at.
