@J&M’s ICON and Colorado folks.Team Colorado-Red-Shift-on-35s-Everyone-Except-Wisconsin-is-Invited-to-Come-Along-with-Us is now official for the first half of TJ Fest!
Opportunity to post this on the second forum today!!!@J&M’s ICON and Colorado folks.
Any thoughts, insights on hwy 160 from Walsenburg across to Cortez that time of year?
Thinking about cutting through there , for the scenic drive across wolf creek pass, continental divide on our way to Moab.
Just wondering if that is still to early in the year as far as road conditions are concerned

Yes, more than likely the pass will either be closed or only partially open. Good rule of thumb is not to attempt until Memorial Day, although we may get some early unusually warm weather this year, who the hell knows in today’s world!Opportunity to post this on the second forum today!!!
So as we are getting closer to this I think I will be able to go. I saw in the early pages of this thread we can dispersed camp or stay at a hotel. If we can camp, where would we be dispersed camping exactly? I love camping, but ive never been to moab/know the rules if any for camping down there. Someone care to please fill me in ?
^ this.160 is a major road. I wouldn't think twice about it.
Choice of lodging is 100% up to you. Trails are in all directions of Moab, so you don't want to be too far from a central location. Also, that's less driving if you plan to stay aired down all week.Someone care to please fill me in ?
That’s some serious antenna envy right there, I’d say you’re in!
