Washington Naches / Funny Rocks

So I was told the west side is closed till like July 16th.
Have no real knowledge about the place, what's considered east side or west side.

They are talking about the westside of the Naches Pass Wagon Trail. Of course, there are MANY who violate this but it is the rule.

@Mrs.Apparition would be excited to see that.

Once my rig is running come on out for a week and we'll hit some trails.

The section of the Naches Trail from FS road 7033 to FS road 7065 (cliffs) is open to hikers only. From FS road 7065 to Naches Pass the trail is open to all.
You can hike down to the cliffs and see where they had to build rigging and then lowered their wagons and livestock down these cliffs. It's pretty amazing.

I'm game...I'd love to see that stuff, (especially if I have to crawl over rocks to get there).

I don't remember how far the hike is. Back when I first ran the Naches trail you could drive to the cliffs but of course people abused it. But it's worth the hike. Your kids and wife would LOVE this bit of history too I'd bet.

Just let me know when it’s not muddy.

Depends on which part of the trail you're talking about. Some time & parts there's always some water/mud.

You'll get over it... The rabbit holes at the beginning of the trail on the east side almost always have water in them but there are bypass for that section. But you miss out on seeing what the trail use to be like. It was a TIGHT trail back in the 60's & 70's. Heck when I first ran it in 97 a lot of it was still tight but now it's a highway.

Im starting to think I won't see the jeep tonight, which puts me out tomorrow. With any luck I'll get her back tomorrow.
Would absolutely consider going Saturday since no love on my jeep tonight.

No problem. I kinda figured! 😂

I got caught up doing surgery today with my son on his rig.

How's that going lately?
I haven't been keeping up, and can't remember what I read last. I know people from the forum were/ are helping out here and there, and I might have a few parts they might be able to use.

Looks like there is surgery in the mix?
Fender work?

Yeah, those fenders were rusted out. The driver flare was also damaged in a fender bender. I’m going to put some money into the flare to fix it so we’ll have a complete Rubi set.

The front bumper is done. Winch plate. Winch. Synthetic line. Recovery point. One slider is installed. Tires are here. Corner armor here. Rust correction taking place here and there. LED headlights installed. This one will take some time.
