The shocks are fox 2.5, 8" travel coil overs. The motion ratio of the bellcrank nets about 13-14" of rear axle travel.

That's awesome man! It's coming out great!
It'd be cool to do a cantilever coilover setup on my Lj....But im already gonna have a ball putting my coilovers in front of the rear axle to squeeze 15-16" of travel on a smaller CO. Plus,I dont got the brains to do that yet

Its complex, but it looks cool, and works extremely well

Took the flat fender out for a little Sunday drive up Schnebly Hill road in Sedona. It was cool, beautiful, not a soul in sight and the little jeep performed perfectly. Never got hot, suspension was spot on. Wonderful morning

The blend of old and new is what keeps me coming back over and over to read through what's here. Keeping the drivetrain and modernizing the suspension, in a clever and different way, is what makes this beauty stand out in any crowd. Like other builds I've seen of this era, you didn't lose the original look. What you did was maintain the original heritage, while making it functionally better, in the right places! 🇺🇸

Thank you! Thats what I was going for.

waaaay too fast!
I had not bedded the pads yet, so the brakes were terrible, and you can actually hear it try to stall at the beginning... My crawl gear is 28:1... which is less than ideal for crawling. I guess when they built this thing 80 something years ago, it wasn't meant for slow, technical off road. lol

I foresee a T18 wide ratio transmission in this jeeps future, the 6.31 first gear would give me a crawl ratio of 60:1 which would be way better.

On that note... does anyone have a T18 wide ratio transmission they want to liberate? It will go to a good home.

It is remarkable how much control a high crawl ratio gives with a manual. Brakes help, too :ROFLMAO:

Who knew!?
I am pleased with how the shocks soaked up the bumps, and since then I have proper brakes, so I can go at a more reasonable pace.

I think your suspension saved the day there. BTW, if I haven't mentioned it, like everyone else here, I just love your flat fender (y)

I got fancy and taught myself how to make multi colored 3d prints. I've been looking for a way to label my switches, that looked appropriate for the vehicle, and I came up with this...

The letters are not perfect, but fortunately, I'm almost 50, so my eyesight doesn't even notice in person. That middle switch didn't get a label, becuase I'm not sure whats going there yet. Likely a electric line lock that I can use as a short term parking brake.

Well my sniper EFI died. It won't power on anymore so I've had to send it back for repairs. Sounds like the ECU had failed and it will be $250 to replace. Last month the handheld unit stopped working, that cost me $350.

Anyone else having this bad of luck with Holley EFI's
