In preparation for regearing to 5.13s and the anticipating that I'll have a 50/50 chance of vibes that can't be eliminated without a manual locking hub kit, I've been looking at options and reading up on the subject, including this older thread.

It appears that the only kit that works with ABS is therammaninc kit, which I'm inclined to avoid. To run a hub kit, do I truly have to remove my ABS system? Or is there any other option to install a tone ring with the Yukon or Spyntec kits?

What size suspension lift? I'm not having any front vibrations or caster issues with my 4" of suspension lift and 35's when I drive on the highway with my manual hubs locked.

That's great to hear you don't have vibes. However, according to @mrblaine in this thread:

Based on our experiences working with 100's of TJ owners, adapting big brake kits to hub kits, installing hub kits, and solving gearing related vibrations, the chances of a rig not getting them is right at 50/50.

The way this should work is every single person who tells you they don't have vibes and to go for it, if you regear and get unsolvable vibes unless the front driveshaft is out, then all those folks who told you they don't have vibes get to chip in and buy you a hub kit.

So, given the 50/50 chance that I'll get them and the hub kit is the solution, is there a way to adapt the ABS to a hub kit?

Maybe. Have to see what diameter the stub shaft is where the tone ring presses on. Should be doable though even if a small adapter ring has to be made.

Thanks, good to know that there is potentially a solution.

The only issue will be if the slinger moves the tone ring too far away from the sensor mounted in the knuckle. The slinger carries the V seal at the back of the spindle but, it is very possible to move the spindle out some small amount to compensate. Pretty sure it can be figured out.

I appreciate the insight; I just like to plan ahead to understand what I may be up against before I start in on a project. Good to know there's probably a workable solution if it comes to it.
