Can you guess how much lift this TJ has?

Hello Jeep community, can anyone tell how many inches this TJ lifted? Can you guess by picture? Cos I am looking for right size if tires and rims. My plan 33" with 15" rims , currently it has 27.4 x 8.9 tire on 15" rims on the picture. It looks like it already lifted, 33" is okay? You guys are...

What is the best 35 inch tire for the TJ? Ride quality and road noise isn't a concern

I’m in need for a new set of 5. I’m currently running the wrangler MT/r and I’m actually a big fan. They slid around a lot less on dirt than my horrible firestones and the Kevlar sidewalls gave me a bit of peace of mind. I just recently took them out on the snow and they performed terribly, I’m...

31" tires on a TJ: do I need a lift?

Hi all, I bought a 2004 Wrangler Sahara about 2 years ago and the tire tread has really worn down. I'm looking to replace these with Falken Wildpeak A/T3W. The Jeep currently has mud tires on them, measuring 31X10.50R15LT. I've been reading a few forum posts and most people recommend getting...

Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek vs Duratrac

Rocks in Hot Springs have chewed my 6yr old Grabber AT2s up so I’m in the market. I’ve seen extensive praise here for the Duratrac. Anyone have experience with the newer Cooper Rugged Trek? I am running Moabs metric 31. 265/70/16. Im between Rugged Trek and the Duratrac. They seem comparable...

Tire pressure on discontinued tire - Rugged Terrain

Hello! I’m looking for recommended tire pressures on this tire: BF Goodrich, Rugged Terrain T/A, 31X10.515LT This is outside of my area of expertise, and I have no idea what to aim for. I’m looking to get a fuel economy pressure, and a conservative off-road pressure. Thank you!

Are 31 inch tires good on the highway?

I currently have P235/70R15 on my TJ and so far they have been great for highway driving and mild trails. I'm thinking about getting 31 inch tires once I save up enough cash and time. Will there be a big difference on the highway going from 28 inch to 31 inch tires?

Need new wheels and tires—do I have this right?

Hey all! I'm brand new to the Wrangler community as I only just picked up my 2004 Wrangler LJ Unlimited late last summer. I only had time to clean it and do some basic fixes. When I purchased it I had noticed the wheels were in bad shape and, as luck would have it, one went flat over the winter...

    Rim Width for 35x12.5 tires

I'm looking to change from Load E 315/75R16 tires to a Load C tire and looking for help with all the variables. What size rims are you running on a TJ with Load C 35's? These 16" Load E tires came on it when I purchased it. Seems there aren't many (if any) 16" Load C rated tires, so I'm...

Best Daily Driver Tires for a 2.5?

My Jeep is my daily driver. I love her very much but man, putting my foot to the floor to get up that highway hill, the low mpg, the slight jurky jurk past 60mph... I love all these qualitys, hense, well duh the 2.5L... but online I only find resources for off roading tire information. Could we...

What's the biggest size tire I can fit with no rubbing?

Anyone know what’s the biggest tire size you can put on a stock Jeep Tj without rubbing? I don’t mind putting wheel spacers if I have to. I currently have the stock 15” aluminum rims, would I need new ones?

Adding 1 new tire to the mix

It’s been a while since I posted and I’m getting ready for a trip out to Colorado so I’ll be around a lot these next few weeks. Anywho the PO had broken the 4wd linkage before I bought it and wore the front 2 tires down quite a bit. The rear ones seem fine and I would like to get some opinions...

Wheel spacers installed, back tires now squeaking?

Hey all, new member here. I bought an ‘04 LJ a couple of weeks ago. It came with a set of brand new 35x12.5’s so I had 1.5” hub centric wheel spacers put on today as the tires were rubbing. Problem is now that when I turn (under 10-20km/h) I’m getting a squealing sound from the back tires and...

    Advice on 31X10.50R15 tires

Part of my TJ build includes getting new tires to replace my current 15 (!) year old ones. I’ve read a lot of threads on 31’s vs 33’s. I know I would like the look of the 33’s more because of the extra height, and I can fit them with my current lift upgrade plans. But I really don’t *need*...

    Tire selection help

Struggling Trying to decide between 2 tires on my TJ. Goodyear MTR vs Nitto Trail Grappler. So many different opinions between the 2! I realize the MTR is the proper C rated one but many jeepers here in Vegas swear by the Nitto on the rocks and say they ride fine as long as you adjust pressure...
